Once You Master Delegation...

Posted February 24 2014

leaderAs a leader, you have to learn how to delegate. Once you've mastered delegation, Kevin Eikenberry has three useful tips on how you can focus on what you should really be doing -- leading.

  • Thinking strategically - Instead of constantly putting out fires, dedicate time to focus on direction and strategy.
  • Communicating  - Everyone must communicate but you need to be the example. Think top-down effect.
  • Providing resources - When you're not overloaded with work, you can see what resources your employees need.

In addition to these tips, we recommend spending time empowering and developing your employees. Take the time to develop the competencies you want instilled in them, and ensure they are provided the resources to grow and develop in their career.
